October 1 Hollywood CA

Our second stop was the star-studded city of Hollywood, CA. Our table grace was to the tune of the Addams Family:

Da da da dum (snap snap)
da da da dum (snap snap)
Da da da dum, da da da dum, da da da dum (snap snap)
We thank You Lord for giving
The food we need for living
Be with us while we eat it,
We're the Logos family
A-a-a-men, (snap snap)
A-a-a-men, (snap snap) A-a-a-men, A-a-a-men, A-a-a-men (snap snap)

As they might do in Hollywood, we skipped dinner and instead attended a "Mocktail" party complete with Raspberry Lemonade served in martini glasses. Our meal consisted of a variety of appetizers which were eaten as we "mingled" with other guests. Everyone had a movie name, character or setting taped to their back and we asked "yes or no questions" to find out who or what we were.

After we cleaned up, we thanked our cooks to the tune of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

Somewhere out in the kitchen,
There are folks,
Who fix us wonderful meals,
And that really is no joke.

Somehow weekly at LOGOS,
They know how
To make food good and nutritious,
Please won't you take a bow.

For our family activity, each table drew a household product out of a shopping bag. Then each table had to create a 1 minute commercial to sell that product.

Ketchup - Heinz - Triple Pack - Great!

Hungry Jack, Microwavable, YEAH! Buttery Tasting! YEAH!

Pudding- "Side Effects may include . . . . .unmentionables"

Do you wanna know a Secret? - Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman!

Play Yahtzee and butter your rolls at the same time!

The evening ended with a spontaneous game of Ker-plop

Down by the banks of the Hanky Pank, Where the bull frog jumped from bank to bank, And said oops, ipes, opes, opps, the first hit the river with a big ker-plop
